The Preserve at Misty Creek is a quiet gated community of single family homes on a public golf course surrounded by nature preserve. To an old timer in Sarasota, this area is known as “out east,” which means east of Interstate 75 (3 miles). It is located between Clark Road, exit 205 and Bee Ridge Road, exit 207. This puts the community ten miles from the beaches of Siesta Key and Lido. Thirteen miles from SRQ Airport and 49 miles from Tampa International Airport. Most of the homes were built in the Mediterranean or Florida style with barrel tiled roofs very large lanais with pools. The homes were built between 1995 and 2001. There are beautiful mature trees everywhere. Misty Creek homes have shoulder room meaning the average lot size is just under half an acre. There are several parks nearby to visit like Myakka State Park, Celery Fields and Rothenbach Park to name a few. Sarasota’s Legacy Trail is about 4 miles to the south east. There is a Publix at the corner of Lorraine and Bee Ridge, a pretty good Pizza place, Chinese Food, Pinch a Penny Pools, a dry cleaner, a UPS store and a few other retailers and Chase Bank a short distance from the north entrance. Perfect for golfers, bicycle riders, walkers, strollers, rollers and drivers. Let’s not forget the nature lovers, sports enthusiasts, photographers and music lovers. With downtown Sarasota and the beautiful beaches just a 20 minute drive west, what’s not to love? Antiquers? Arcadia, and adorable old Florida town has about 22 antique stores to visit and is a nice country drive east (39 miles). Thanks to the public course, the Misty Creek HOA fees relatively are low. Most homes range in size from 2600-3500 square feet. Let me know if you’d like to see one. I am proud to call this community home.
