Stoneybrook Golf and Country Club

Sarasota’s Palmer Ranch is home to several gated communities.  Stoneybrook Golf and Country Club stands out because it has several styles of home to choose from in a community designed for an active lifestyle. Stoneybrook Golf and Country Club is a gated community with over 900 residences.  Whether you want a single family single floor home with three bedrooms and a private pool it is here.  You can find a villa with two or three bedrooms and a pool one floor or two. Or no pool at all, and a lanai with a preserve view.   Condos with elevators, condos with garages, golf course or preserve views.  The list goes on.  Most of the distinct neighborhoods within the community are required to participate with membership in the golf  program with one exception The Arbors where social membership is mandatory not golf.  All neighborhoods have separate HOAs.  And, to make it even more intersting….say you like the look of the community, want to be in a gated community, but are NOT a golfer…The Estates section of Stoneybrook has a separate HOA, its own community pool and is nearest the Mcintosh entrance.  Club membership is not available to this section.  It is just a few streets with single family homes.   The clubhouse is a popular place with all sorts of events and entertainment constantly and a busy kitchen. From the community pools, to tennis, bocce ball, line dancing, yoga, card games and quilting, there’s always something interesting to do in this active community.  The course currently undergoing a renovation keeps 9 holes open at a time.  There is a special assessment.  Good to check with each seller – some chose payment over time. The Pub at the clubhouse has a well attended brunch on Sundays.   Stoneybrook Golf and Country Club  is close to 41 and has shopping close by(Walmart, Costco, Target).  A short distance from Siesta Key, St. Armands and Downtown Sarasota, SRQ.   If you are a bicycle rider, you have a path from this community directly to the Legacy Trail.  From here you can ride a bike all the way to Venice with expansion plans to the north and south. Below is a list of other great places to check out when visiting the area.
